Handicapper's Report - October 10k Handicap
Great conditions for running after 2 days of heavy rain

First home was Pauline Kelly running her 3rd qualifier in the 10k and buoyed by her success in the recent 3.5k, she took over 3 minutes last month’s result. A big pb. Congratulations Pauline. Great effort. Great outcome.
Next home was our trophy winner, Wayne Layt, with his first ever handicap win, in 53:15, with his best result since August’17. Well done mate.
2nd home was Grant Moroney in 50:59 with his best since June’17 result.
And 3rd was Arlene Caraballo, in 68:05, a very significant pb by 1m 16s on her only ever other run sub 70m, her 69:21 back in May.
Our podium finishers were followed home by Peter Watson in 47:53, with a 55s pb; and Ian Rowles in 58:26, with a 43s pb. Not far behind was Clarence Caraballo with his 54:32 and a 1m07s pb. Well done guys.
Encouraged by her boys, Lisa Wedgwood has found her way into the 10k for the first time. The boys may have taken Lisa over the course last weekend, but it was nature that provided the thrills with a black snake on the pathway near the turnaround out near the highway 😊. A first run to remember.
