Our winner was Paul Moro who beat Aly Trinh across the mat by 79 hundredths of a second. So so close. Great contest. Caught just prior to the mats was Chris Moyhnam who finished in 3rd. Congratulations to all.
Our fastest on the day was David Riches in 12:55, who bested young Jack Wedgwood by 46 hundredths of a second.
Our fastest female was Kayley Sommer who ran 15:28, a personal 23 sec pb, and a new course record, bettering Jacqui Viterale’s 15:38 last month; Jacqui finished 6 places behind Kayley, and in doing so also ran a 3 sec pb, 15:35. Round 3 next month. Congratulations ladies.
Kayley and Jack now hold the under 16 course records, at 15:28 and 12:55 respectively.
Emma Trinh in 16:59 took the under 19 record from her sister, and Nathan Mudie lowered his record by 10 secs to 13:13.
All up we had 15 juniors which is our best in the shorter course handicap for many a year.
